The Friesian horses of Nobynäs manor
The stallion MELLE is available for breeding with registered mares.
We have now started FrieserHästSällskapet in Sweden to cooperate with the german FPZV, Friesenpferde-zuchtverband.
We have been breeding Friesians since 1989. We also allow crossbreeding with suitable mares.
Welcome to contact us for further discussions. Here below you can find information about MELLE and his offspring.
We have since 1997 chosen to leave the Dutch association FPS ,since we no longer can agree with their breeding goals or training methods.
Melle is since the judging 2004 approved by FPZV with 1 premie and registred in stallionbook1
Melle has NOT the "redgene"

MELLE is sired by the legendary stallion JOCHEM 259 dame is GEESJE 5933. She was one of the few mares in the world that reached the title model preferent prestatiemoder.
She has also left the studbook stallion JILLIS , he is like Melle from JOCHEM
On the rest of the mother line you find g.m model preferent, gg.m. m ster pref and g.m g.m model pref.
MELLE is born 1987 height 1,66m
As foal he got a 2:premie and as three years old he went to second round in the stallion "keuring" in Holland.
He has had a breeding permit from Holland for eight years, but after FPS decided to call back his breeding permit without explanation he only has a breeding license from SH ( Swedish horse breeding association)
Since there have been very few Friesians in Sweden, MELLE only has 20 offspring so far. All of them have shown good quality and the ones that have been shown have recived good remarks. All foals shown have been rewarded with 2:premie except one that got 3:premie.
The only three year old mare in Sweden that has been rewarded with ster 1:premie is one of Melles offspring.
At the judging 2004 "Best in Show" was Pearl, a mare from Melle that also got a 1 premie and "Best Gelding" was also from Melle. The others all got ster and 2 premie.

Hi girls, here I am ......

This pic is from a show called Nordic horse, Elmia -92. It was for most of the public, the very first time they saw a Friesian horse. One old hardy horseman came up to me and said " he so beautiful I get tears in my eyes".
He´s helping me call for someone...

Melle
and me.
Our English instructor Clair Lilley on Melle.
Melle is very intelligent and gentle. Here his teaching our 11 year old daughter Maria riding.
In faze with the handler. "Keuring" on Öland. Melle got the remark "as close to the ideal Friesian you can get"
He is also a perfect carriage horse.
